Torrance Real Estate Agent & Homes for Sale
Kevin Scott is a Torrance real estate agent with eXp Realty (CA DRE #01958725), working in the South Bay since 2005 and licensed since 2014. This guide covers Torrance homes for sale, neighborhoods and current prices. The median sale price in Torrance was $1,174,441 as of September 2026, per Redfin.

Torrance is one of the largest cities in the South Bay, stretching from Torrance Beach and the Hollywood Riviera to Old Torrance and the 405. It offers single-family neighborhoods, townhomes and condos, Del Amo Fashion Center and Torrance Unified School District, often at lower prices than the beach cities next door.

Torrance gives buyers a lot of choice. On the west side, the Hollywood Riviera, Seaside and West Torrance are close to Torrance Beach and the Palos Verdes hills. Walteria and Southwood sit near the Peninsula, North Torrance runs up toward the 405, and Old Torrance has a historic downtown with older homes nearby. Much of the housing is single-family homes built in the 1950s and 1960s, plus newer townhomes, condos and some custom rebuilds. Torrance Unified School District runs the public schools, including four comprehensive high schools: Torrance, North, South and West. Shopping is easy, with Del Amo Fashion Center and neighborhood centers across the city, and Torrance Municipal Airport (Zamperini Field) is on the south side. The 405 and 110 freeways border parts of the city. The beach is closest from the west side neighborhoods.

Is Torrance a good place to buy a home?

For many buyers, yes. Torrance offers a wide range of neighborhoods, its own school district, easy shopping and quick access to the beach cities and the Peninsula, often at lower prices than Manhattan, Hermosa or Redondo Beach. The right neighborhood depends on your commute and how close you want to be to the beach.

What school district serves Torrance?

Torrance Unified School District serves the city, including Torrance, North, South and West high schools. A few homes with Torrance-area addresses fall outside TUSD, so check the district's school locator for any address. In the Hollywood Riviera, for example, the city line matters, because some nearby homes are in Redondo Beach.

What are the main neighborhoods in Torrance?

Torrance neighborhoods include the Hollywood Riviera, Seaside, West Torrance, Walteria, Southwood, North Torrance and Old Torrance. The west side is closest to Torrance Beach and the Palos Verdes hills, North Torrance is closer to the 405, and Old Torrance has a historic downtown with older homes nearby.

How much do homes cost in Torrance?

The median sale price in Torrance was about $1.2 million for the three months ending August 2026, per Redfin, and the median days on market was 32. West Torrance and the Hollywood Riviera usually sell for more than other parts of the city, and condos and townhomes sell in their own range.
