East Hermosa Beach Homes for Sale

East Hermosa, sometimes called Hermosa Hills, is the part of Hermosa Beach east of Pacific Coast Highway, up to the Redondo Beach line. It is still Hermosa, with the same city services and school district, and it is often where buyers find their way into the city.

The housing here leans toward townhomes and two-on-a-lot homes, with single-family homes mixed in. The land climbs as you head east, so some streets have ocean or city views, especially from upper floors and rooftop decks. Prices are generally lower than in the Sand Section or Hermosa Valley, which makes East Hermosa a common choice for first-time buyers in the beach cities and for people moving up from a condo.

Living east of PCH means crossing the highway to get to the beach and downtown. Most people bike or drive, and some walk. In return you get quicker access to errands along PCH and Aviation Boulevard and an easier drive to the 405.

Schools are the same as the rest of Hermosa: Hermosa Beach City School District for TK through 8th grade, then Mira Costa or Redondo Union for high school. Because East Hermosa borders Redondo Beach, confirm the city and school district for any address before you write an offer.
